Kaštilac was a fortress of a Benedictine Monastery located by the Adriatic Sea in central Dalmatia, and is now a settlement in Kaštel Gomilica, located in the central part of Split-Dalmatia county, Croatia. Kaštilac is the only castle of seven castles in Kaštela
Marjan is a hill on the peninsula of the city of Split, the second largest city of Croatia. It is covered in a dense Mediterranean pine forest and surrounded by the city and the sea, making it a unique sight. Originally used as a park by the citizens as early as the 3rd century, it is a favorite weekend excursion destination and a recreational center for the city. It is also the setting for numerous beaches and jogging trails as well as tennis courts and the city Zoo, all surrounded by the scenic forest.
Žnjan is the largest beach in Split, Croatia. It is located in the eastern part of the city. Like most of the Croatian coast, it is mostly a pebble beach. Along the beach, there is a promenade connecting Žnjan with nearby Trstenik beach.
Putalj Winery in Split started its commercial path by releasing 2010 Putalj Zinfandel. The wine is aged in Slavonian oak barrels for 6 months and released the following year. Reservation for the tour is required. Winery is not able to host walk in / drive in tastings.
Firule is a sandy beach located in Split, in the district of the same name. Often referred to as a smaller sister of Bacvice beach, Firule is a bit more local and intimate tourist spot ideal for those who want to avoid the hype of the more glamourous Split beaches.
